Day 15...Invercargill

It was so cold this morning when I woke up. Since it is NZ fall, it doesn't start getting light until after 7am. We left Gunn's
camp around 8am and headed back to civilization. We had breakfast in Te Anau and got to Invercargill around lunch time. I
had the option of going to Stewart Island, but with the cost of the ferry and only being able to stay one night, it wasn't worth
it. You get there in the dark and leave early in the morning and it costs $132. The other option, was to stay the night in
Invercargill. Population is about 15,000 people and it is a real NZ town in the sense that there isn't much tourism. It is
more of an industrial place and there isn't a whole lot to do. A few of us went out to Bluff, which is the Southern most town
on the South Island. I walked around Invercargill for a bit and had dinner with Nina. Emer, Emma and I went out to the Irish
bar. I wasn't really in the drinking mood so I had an easy night and went back to the hostel around 11:30. They decided to
close down the Irish bar and then move on for some dancing. The hostel we are staying at is a little creepy. The room has
no windows and the bathrooms are a mile away. It was only for a night so it was managable. I have been extremely lucky with
how the hostels have worked out so far on this trip. The weather wasn't very great today and I didn't take any pictures.
